The Common Spot
different name, same mission
Team Common Spot

As many of you know, The Common Spot, celebrated our last day of business, Friday January 11, 2013, after three years of providing everyday value snacks, drinks, coffees, community and conversation to a community that has become our own. All of our community celebrated with us at the shop the entire day. As always goodtimes were shared by all.

We ask that our Common Spot community, continue to post/tag to Facebook, photos of all the great experiences at the shop. We look forward to traveling down 'Memory Lane' of all the good times with you all.

We would like to invite our friends and community to continue to like and follow our Facebook page and occasionally check on the website. We plan to rework both our website and Facebook page to represent the community. Both will continue with the name, Team Common Spot.

We thank you all for our successes these past three years.

The Common Spot Team

The Common Spot actively supports the community. All summer long we have been the only drop off in the Market Common area for Backpack Buddies of South Carolina (donate 5 cans of Vienna Sausages and receive 1 cup free hot coffee). Stop by with your donations, only a few days left before the school year starts! Thank you for all your support!

Team Common Spot collected 357 cans for local schools!

Box Tops for Education has helped America‚Äôs schools earn over $475 million since 1996. The Common Spot is now collecting Box Tops for Education. Simply snip the Box Tops for Education coupon, found on hundreds of participating products and drop off at the coffee shop. Each coupon collected earns local schools 10 cents! We appreciate all your efforts and thank you in advance!

Horry County Lock Up 2013, a MDA fundraising event April 24, 2013

Local leaders have been selected to be arrested for doing good. Each arrested leader has to raise their bail for release. You are able to make tax deductible donations towards the leaders' bail generating serious amounts of dollars for people in our communities with muscular disabilities for research and programs that add to their lives.

Challenge everyone to donate. You are able to set up donations as a one time offer or even on a monthly basis. Donations are welcome in any amount, donate $1 on up.

Christina Mercado is 'nuts' about being 'arrested' for good!
